My favorite sweet has always been and always will be a soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie. My grandmother made the best ones ever! People would request my grandmother bring a plate of her delicious cookies to their events. And I was always right by her side helping her whip up a batch of her secret recipe that everybody raved about. Those were the days, standing next to my grandmother in the hot kitchen, her with an apron on and me in my pigtails waiting to lick the mixing bowl once she was done it. Now I make these cookies with my children standing next to me helping me spoon them onto the baking sheets, eagerly awaiting the mixing bowl. Hmm, maybe I should get an apron like my grandmothers. I am a planner addict! I have at least three paper planners that I use for my daily life to keep me organized and on track with household things that need to be done. I am also a person that has a need to make my pages pop with color. My planner is a mixture of an art journal and scrapbook with dates and events thrown in. Knowing that I am not alone as a planner addict, my friend Tonya and I came up with a few items that any stationary/ planner gift ideas for the Planner Addict in your life will love. We do! (more…)
Hello from Dallas! In case you didn’t know my family and I moved here almost a month ago. We are getting lost and enjoying it. I went out on my own the other day and ended up getting so lost that even my GPS laughed at me and told me I was lost. :: LoL :: It’s always an adventure around here. The kids and I are adjusting well while my husband gets his new restaurant up and ready for business, opening day is tomorrow. So please wish him and his staff well on their opening day. Enough about me, let’s see what you have been up too. I look forward to your posts. Thanks so much for continuing to link up your blog posts here weekly.

Crostini’s and this delicious and easy Dallas Dip are the perfect way to jazz up your turkey on leftover Fridays. The day after Thanksgiving is pretty much summed as a fend and fix it for yourself kind of day. I put all of the leftovers out on a platter with some other things that would help to jazz up the leftovers. One of our favorites is a build your own crostini table. On the table, I always make a Delicious and Easy Dallas Dip with Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise. It is super easy to make and the taste is out of this word amazing. It is a hit for every occasion or event. (more…)

If you have toddler girls that love Sophia the First, you may have heard Amber sing this song: “If bigger is better, then biggest is best!” Everytime I see this TV, that song plays in my head. Best Buy is the ultimate store for hinting season for cool Holiday gifts. Especially with the new 55 inch LG OLED TV. This TV is beautiful and is the ultimate statement piece perfect for all houses.
What is OLED TV?
The stunning design of LG OLED TV is only 0.21″ thick at its thinnest point. Picture quality is spectacular, with Infinite Contrast that ranges from the most blazing whites to the deepest blacks. And, LG’s exclusive 4 Color Pixel technology delivers bright, vibrant colors. Learn more here:LGOLEDatBestbuy.com
OLED TV LG 55EC9300 SKU# 7846019
· Infinite contrast ratio and stunning color – delivers more natural, lifelike viewing.
· 4 Color Pixel technology enhances color range and accuracy.
· Super thin design (consider how to show visually)
· Find content faster with webOS
What does all that mean for us non-techie people? It means:
Colors are more vibrant and true. With regular LED technology, the entire screen has to be lit. This means blacks are often washed out because there is a white light behind/around it. The OLED has it’s own lighting elements that draw different levels of power for different colors and the black is exactly that; the absence of light!
For the energy efficient conscious buyer, this also means that the level of power is significantly less because it only draws what it needs as opposed to using a florescent back light that is constantly on. While LED TV’s were the most efficient power consumers around before, this is leaps and bounds better!
You know how there are times were it seems like the dark contrast is smudged or blurred during the most intense action scenes? Imagine if you could sharpen that line…well now you can. The true black nature of this TV will make all those lines pop!
Best Buy’s everyday price of $3499.99 (save $500).
