Soft and Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies ~ www.Denverista.com

My favorite sweet has always been and always will be a soft and chewy chocolate chip cookie.  My grandmother made the best ones ever!  People would request my grandmother bring a plate of her delicious cookies to their events.  And I was always right by her side helping her whip up a batch of her secret recipe that everybody raved about.  Those were the days, standing next to my grandmother in the hot kitchen, her with an apron on and me in my pigtails waiting to lick the mixing bowl once she was done it.  Now I make these cookies with my children standing next to me helping me spoon them onto the baking sheets, eagerly awaiting the mixing bowl.    Hmm, maybe I should get an apron like my grandmothers. I am a planner addict!  I have at least three paper planners that I use for my daily life to keep me organized and on track with household things that need to be done.  I am also a person that has a need to make my pages pop with color. My planner is a mixture of an art journal and scrapbook with dates and events thrown in.  Knowing that I am not alone as a planner addict,  my friend Tonya and I came up with a few items that any stationary/ planner gift ideas for the Planner Addict in your life will love.  We do! Delicious and Easy Dallas Dip ~ www.Denverista.com

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Modern Mom Insider for Hellmann’s. All opinions expressed are 100% mine

Crostini’s and this delicious and easy Dallas Dip are the perfect way to jazz up your turkey on leftover Fridays.  The day after Thanksgiving is pretty much summed as a fend and fix it for yourself kind of day.  I put all of the leftovers out on a platter with some other things that would help to jazz up the leftovers.  One of our favorites is a build your own crostini table.  On the table, I always make a Delicious and Easy Dallas Dip with Hellmann’s Real Mayonnaise.  It is super easy to make and the taste is out of this word amazing.  It is a hit for every occasion or event. Halloween Tic Tac Toe {Free Printable} ~ www.Denverista.com

I love all things Fall!  Especially Halloween!  I love seeing the kids get excited about dressing up and going trick or treating.  I also love when they come back from trick or treating with bags full of candy for mommy!  I created a Halloween Tic Tac Toe {Free Printable} for those too chilly of days to go out and play.   I made the board out of some construction paper and washi tape.  I love washi tape and I had a Halloween style of it that I couldn’t wait to use on a project.  I love how it turned out!  It was so fun to create this and play with the kids.  Even though, they don’t quite get the rules yet. DIY Craft Minnie Mouse Wreath ~ www.Denverista.com

Here is a cute and fun DIY Craft that shows you how to make a Mickey or Minnie Mouse Wreath for less than $5.00 and less than 5 minutes of your time.

I was issued a challenge of creating a unique craft with materials found solely available for a dollar or less.  I hopped on over to our local Dollar Tree store and within two minutes found the vision and material I would need for my challenge.  Y’all know I love a good challenge, lol.

Honestly, this was such a simple craft to make.  I think I spent longer checking out at the store than I did making the wreath.

My store had two different sizes of these vine wreaths.  Score!  Also, I have to apologize for the dark lighting in the photos below, normally Colorado is a really sunny state.  But these last two weeks has brought nothing but rain and gray skies.

I already had some zip ties, that coincidentally also were purchased from the Dollar Tree.  I used the zippies to hold the ears in place on the face.

Just pull them really tight so you don’t have floppy ears.

Once the ears are affixed to the head, just trim off the excess zip ties.  Now comes the difficult part….To make a Minnie or a Mickie Wreath.   We went with a Minnie Mouse wreath of course.  Because Minnie is too cool!

The store had the cutest butterfly clips in fall colors so I chose the prettiest one that they had.  To add the butterfly, just clip it to the biggest wreath/ head.  Once the clip is on, hang your uber cute wreath on your door and call it a day.  You deserve it!  Nobody will know that it only took you five minutes to create the cutest wreath on the block.

I hope that you enjoyed my DIY Craft Minnie Mouse Wreath!  Have a great day and Thanks for stopping by!

Staying Organized {Free Printable}

As a stay at home mom that home-schools and runs this blog and juggles a ton of other activities outside the home.  I have a long list of things that I have to do each week.  I am a visual person, I need to look at a calendar to see what needs to be done for the week.  With that said, I need a planner to help me to stay organized.  I use a Filofax A5 Original Organizer/ Planner to keep me in line.  But the inserts they provide with the organizer just weren’t working for me. Recipe: Boot Kicker Burger #Burgervetion

To create the Best Ever Juicy Burger this summer, mix Hellmann’s { Best Foods} Mayonnaise directly into the ground beef when preparing your burgers. The mayonnaise helps to lock in moisture as the burger cooks on the grill, ensuring a juicy, delicious burger every time.  I had never heard of this and was willing to test it out.  I was shocked by how moist the burgers turned out.  They may have been the best I have ever had.  And I have eaten a whole lot of burgers in my life. The simple addition of mayonnaise to the ground beef makes a deliciously juicy burger every time!

Here is my recipe for the Boot Kicker Burger.  I hope you try it out and love it as much as my family and friends do.

bk1

For the hamburger patties, I am a bit of a purest at heart.  Just the basics.

3 pounds of ground beef

1 cup of Best Foods mayonnaise

2 tablespoons of granulated garlic

Salt and pepper

Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

bk2

Once all of the ingredients are mixed up well, form the hamburger patties.  The best part of this recipe is that the burgers will taste great if you grill them or cook them in a pan on your oven.  {If only steaks were that way!}

After the burgers are cooked add your toppings.  I like to add the cheese a few minutes before I pull the burgers off of the heat.  That way, the cheese is melted and gooey.  Now it is time to dress up the burgers.

Instead of pickles, we like to add jalapenos fried in seasoned corn meal.  I also made a spicy mayo to top my bun with.  I add chili paste and Best Foods Mayonnaise together, equal parts and mix them well until the color is consistent.

Build your burger, Serve and Enjoy!

What do you like to build your burger with you?   I hope that you will try out the recipe for teh Boot Kicker Burger.  Visit Best Foods or find them on Facebook .  Check out the hashtag  #Burgervention this summer to find more amazing and tasty recipes for this 4th of July summer grilling fun.
